People come to Campout for many reasons: to escape, to breathe, to reset, to spend time with others they care about deeply. People come to experience something, to make better sense of themselves and the world around us. To say there’s a lot happening in the world right now is an understatement. Dylan Harris returns as our Hearsay Speaker Series curator again with our biggest lineup of conversations yet. Some words on this year’s approach:
“For the past few years, I’ve tried to curate a speaker series that responds to the moment – to feedback from attendees, to the rapidly changing world around us – to center and celebrate core elements of queer life: love, community, resistance, persistence, and solidarity.
This year, the series focuses on mutual aid, movement and organizing work, and communal care, told largely through the visions and experiences of our trans siblings. This year is about skills – how do we take care of one another like we always have (and always will)?”
